Street Closures on 50th Street as Construction Moves Ahead

By Y.M. Lowy

Construction work on two projects along 50th Street is bringing temporary street closures to the area, with work continuing on the new Liska Bais Medrash and the Klausenburg girls’ school.

Between 14th and 15th Avenue, 50th Street will be closed Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., through January 7 as construction continues on the new Liska Bais Medrash. The project is moving along, with the beams beginning to go up, as reported on BoroPark24 yesterday.

50th Street between 13th and 14th Avenue is also partial closed during scheduled construction hours for work at the Klausenburg girls’ school. This closure will remain in effect through November 3, with the street closed Sundays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Mondays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drivers in the area should plan around the closures during those hours. City bus riders affected by the closure between 13th and 14th Avenues should use the next bus stop on 14th Avenue.
