As BoroPark24 reported, there was a break-in at Yeshiva Beis Yitzchok—Skver on 45th Street on Thursday night, the last night of Chanukah. The incident involved three burglars breaking in to the yeshiva, having entered through the back of the building, and taking a large amount of cash, and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Thursday, the NYPD announced that they have arrested Kristian Navarro Racero, one of the suspects who appeared in the surveillance footage, in connection with the burglary.
Shomrim had sifted through hours of video footage, and tracked the red Toyota Camry in which the burglars had arrived at the crime scene until they picked up a license plate. It was determined that the license plate did not match the vehicles registration, indicating that it was a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle, driven by Racero, was pulled over by police, who ran the plates, and saw that it was a stolen vehicle. A large amount of cash was recovered from the vehicle, as well as burglary tools.
Racero was arraigned Thursday and slapped with numerous charges.
