Suspect in Walgreens Stabbing Arrested in Maimonides Hospital

A robbery attempt at a Walgreens on Church Avenue and East 2nd Street turned violent last night when a store employee was stabbed while trying to stop the theft.

The employee was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. The suspect, who was also hurt, later walked into Maimonides Hospital seeking medical assistance, where officers from the NYPD’s 66th Precinct took him into custody.
