Suspects in Fatal Shooting of Shmuli Silverberg, z”l, Arrested

A short while ago, the Denver Police Department announced that it has taken into custody Four suspects in the tragic murder of Shmuli Silverberg, a beloved talmid of Yeshiva Toras Chaim-Denver, on Tuesday night.

 Shmuli was a beloved talmid, filled with simcha, ahavas hashem, ahavas hatorah, and ahavas Yisroel. His loss has hit the talmidim and faculty of the yeshiva particularly hard.

 Last night at their briefing, Denver PD officials continued to insist that although they were not ruling out bias motives behind the fatal shooting of Shmuli, z”l, they were continuing to look at the matter as the conclusion of a horrific crime spree throughout thag area of Denver that evening.

 This included multiple carjackings, and they were hunting the perpetrators through the vehicles. This afternoon, the police announced that Seth James Larhode, 21, Isaiah James Freeman, 18, Aden Sides, 18, and Noah Loepp-Hall, 19, are all in custody, with one suspect remaining on the loose. His identity will be announced as soon as he is brought into custody.

 The suspects face multiple charges, including murder, burglary, aggravated robbery, aggravated motor vehicle theft, menacing and assault.

 “But,” the police captain in charge of the investigation indicated yesterday evening, “should it become clear that there was a bias motive behind this attack, hate crimes charges will be added to these.”
