Take the Train To The Plane

JFK Airport is currently undergoing a $19 billion construction project, and with a record number of travelers expected to pass through the airport this summer, officials are kind of freaking out.
To encourage travelers to take public transportation to the airport instead of driving in and causing traffic jams, Governor Hochul with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have announced that the fare for the Airtrain JFK will be half price, only $4.25, from July 1st through Labor Day.
“With transformational construction underway at JFK, we’re taking steps to mitigate travel delays and affirm what’s always been true – there’s no better option than taking the train to the plane,” Governor Hochul said. “As we kick off a busy summer, we’re making it more affordable for travelers to utilize the AirTrain, offering New Yorkers and visitors from around the world the best-in-class travel experience they deserve.”
