TEHILLIM: Skverer Rebbe of Boro Park Rushed to Hospital, Undergoes Procedure

The Skverer Rebbe of Boro Park experienced a health event last night and will require a medical procedure.

As he arrived home following ma’ariv on Wednesday evening, he collapsed on the stairs of his home in what turned out to be a cardiac event. The Rebbe insisted on first lighting the Chanukah licht in an abbreviated form before being taken to the hospital.

Today, the Rebbe is undergoing a medical procedure at Maimonides Medical Center to address the underlying issue. Klal Yisroel is asked to daven for Yechiel Mechel ben Esther, who is undergoing the procedure in these moments.

A special tish had been scheduled for this evening, the fifth night of Chanukah, which is marked in Skver, as in many other courts. The tish has now been postponed to Sunday night, Zos Chanukah, when the Rebbe and the chassidim will give thanks for the miracles of today as in times of old.
