This Sunday: NYC Half-Marathon to Cause Streets Closures
YS Gold
The United Airlines NYC Half-Marathon will take place this Sunday morning with the participation of thousands of runners and tens of thousands of onlookers.
The 13.1-mile journey begins in Brooklyn, making its way over the historic Manhattan Bridge and FDR Drive. Runners also get the unique opportunity to run through Times Square (only 1 of 2 times that it is closed each year!) and finish in Central Park.
The race begins in several waves, and also includes a wheelchair division.
The weather is expected to be friendly to the runners and onlookers, beginning the day in the 40’s, and going up to the 60’s by midday.
