Today In History: 10 Years Since The Har Nof Attacks

Today marks 10 years on the Hebrew calendar since the horrific attacks at the Kehilat Bnei Torah shul in Har Nof, a heartbreaking tragedy that tore the heart of Klal Yisroel.
On כ"ה חשון in 2014 two Palestinian terrorists barged into the Kehilat Bnei Torah shul during shacharis, brandishing axes, knives, and a gun. Four mispallelim were tragically killed on the spot and seven others were seriously injured, including one man who fell into a coma until he passed away 11 months later.
Two nearby policemen heard gunshots and quickly responded to the scene. Upon arriving to the shul they engaged in a gun battled with the terrorists, Both police officers sustained injuries, and one died from his wounds a short time later. A third police officer arrived a few minutes later and was able to shoot both terrorists.
At that time the, Har Nof attack was the deadliest terror attack in Jerusalem since the Mercaz HaRav massacre in March 2008.
