Tonight! Rabbi Meir Baal Haness Kollel Chibas Yerushalayim Dinner in Heitner Hall

Preparations are underway for the Ohr Hameir dinner, benefiting Kollel Chibas Yerushalayim tzedaka Rabbi Meir Baal Haness. Taking place tonight, Rosh Chodesh Sivan, the event is dedicated to supporting the poor in Eretz Yisroel.

In Boro Park, the dinner has become a major source of support for this vital fund, which serves as a lifeline for thousands of needy families across Eretz Yisroel.

This year’s event will be held in the Heitner Ballroom, set to welcome thousands of participants. A grand stage is being prepared for the many rabbonim, rebbes, and community leaders expected to attend.

The evening will feature words of inspiration from Rav Meir Tzvibel shlit”a, Rav of Kedushas Yom Tov Satmar, and a message from the kollel’s longtime director Rav Berish Rubin shlit”a, the Dombrova Rebbe.

A highlight of the program will be a panel, Behind the Curtain, offering a rare look into the daily lifesaving work carried out by the kollel.

Music will be provided by R’ Shlomo Zalman Horowitz, joined by the Vizhnitz Choir.

The Rabbi Meir Baal Haness pushka is not just a Segulah from previous Tzadikim; it supports nearly 50,000 people in Eretz Yisroel, whether it’s for medical costs not covered by insurance, wedding expenses, newborn essentials, or basic daily needs. This is their lifesaver, their family support.

This year’s dinner is dedicated in memory of Reb Elimelech Laufer z”l and his wife Mrs. Frimet Shaindel a”h, whose lives were deeply tied to this mission of tzedaka. In addition, many Gabbaim and devoted supporters of the Kollel will be honored, as an expression of the deep gratitude felt by the Kollel, its mekablim, and its benefactors.
