Unbreakable: Klal Yisroel’s Resilience on Display at 99th National Agudah Convention
The Agudah convention has always been a forum where Klal Yisroel’s askonim and Klal leaders, and members of the community from every strand, gather under roof with the Gedolei Yisroel to be inspired, moved, and informed for the road ahead.
It has always been a place where simply observing the Gedolim in close proximity, and meriting the hear their da’as Torah on the gamut of issues, has left the crowds awes and inspired.
This 99th convention, which took place over the last weekend, concluding on the eve of Chanukah, was entitled “UNBREAKABLE”.
The entire convention indeed highlighted our strength as a nation whose spirit is UNBREAKABLE, no matter what challenges it encounters.
So much of what was on display throughout the extended weekend explained precisely why;
A nation which has the Torah at its moral center, one which looks to its Torah leaders to light the way, one that refuses to abandon its emunah in the Borei Olam despite so much suffering—individual or communal— and one whose everyday people exhibited extraordinary dedication and sacrifice to one another, is indeed UNBREAKABLE.
This secret to our existence left attendees strengthened as they head into the 100th year of Agudath Israel of America and its outsized impact on the landscape of American Torah Jewry.
