Union, NJ, to Host Bobov-45 Rebbe for Shabbos

The Bobov-45 rebbe will visit his chassidim who live in Union, New Jersey, for the first time since he founded it a year ago, spending the upcoming Shabbos, Parshas Vayeitzei, in the magnificent new Bobov-45 shul there.

The rebbe will celebrate the aufruf of his grandson, who lives in Union, this Shabbos. The chasuna will take place the following week. Both mechutanim live in Union. The chosson's father is the rebbe's son-in-law, Rav Chaim Boruch Halberstam, who is considered the leader and lifeblood of the community and the one who runs its mosdos. The kalla's father is Rav Yoel Halberstam.

The chassidishe community in Union holds a special place in the rebbe's heart. It was founded under his direction a year ago, and since then it has turned into one of the fastest-growing kehillas in the country. Its cheder and girls school has a registration of over 300 children, and a state-of-the-art mikva will be inaugurated for this Shabbos.

Although all simchas in the rebbe's family take place at his court in Boro Park, the said that as a gesture to strengthening his kehilla in Union he would travel there for the aufruf of his grandson. He asked that attendance be limited to local residents and relatives of the simcha.
