Yom Kippur Miracle: Attempted Anti-Semitic Ramming Attack Thwarted
By BoroPark24 Staff
On the night of Yom Kippur, a potential ramming attack was narrowly avoided in Boro Park.
The incident happened at New Utrecht Avenue and 50th Street, when a 31-year-old suspect terrorized the neighborhood, shouting anti-Semitic slurs and attempting to run down a pedestrian.
Thankfully, the attack was unsuccessful, and the perpetrator fled the scene without causing any harm. The Shmira Shabbos Patrol quickly sprang into action, tracking the suspect as he left Boro Park, capturing license plate photos and information. Shortly after, the suspect returned to the area, prompting Shmira units to resume their safe surveillance. They alerted the NYPD, who responded promptly and arrested the individual.
This incident occurred just a day after another suspect brandished a knife following an attempted scooter robbery from a bochur on 10th Avenue and 43rd Street. Shmira volunteers arrived swiftly, securing the weapon and detained the suspect until the NYPD's 66th Precinct arrived to arrest him.
