Yossi's Sweet House, the First Local Bakery BoroPark24 Highlights Throughout Chanukah

By Yehudit Garmaise

Doughnuts, called by their Hebrew name “sufganiyot” actually get their name from “sofgani,” which is a spongy dough that is mentioned in the Talmud.

Although some doughnuts have holes in their middles to cook more evenly, Jewish “sufganiyot” do not have holes, but are baked and fried in round shapes that are later injected with delicious sweet fillings.

Enjoy your favorite doughnut flavor tonight on the third night of Chanukah!

BoroPark24 can’t find anything sweeter than a fresh doughnut at one of the three locations of Yossi’s Sweet House: 5304 New Utrecht Ave., 5717-19 18th Ave. and 4406 14th Ave.
