Young Boy Identified after being Tragically Killed by a Driver This Morning

The 4-year-old Jewish boy who was tragically struck and killed by a blue minivan this morning has been identified as Yoshi Balabon, a”h, who had just been dropped off in front of Yeshiva Ketana in Bensonhurst, which is located at 2025 67th St.
Five-year-old boy, who remains in stable condition at Maimonides Medical Center, also was injured by the car accident.
Balabon’s levaya will take place tonight at 8pm at the Yeshiva of Staten Island, which is located at 1870 Drumgoole Rd. in Staten Island, and his kvura will take place at 613 Ramsey Ave. in Lakewood, NJ.
Boro Park Hatzolah had rushed to the scene to find one injured child and one child in grave condition. Paramedics did all they could to save Balabon’s life, but they were unsuccessful.
The NYPD is conducting an investigation of the driver of the blue minivan, who had initially left the scene of the accident, although he returned after being contacted.
The driver claims not to have known that he hit two children with his car.
