75-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by SUV in Sunset Park

A 75-year-old woman was fatally struck by a driver running a red light near her Sunset Park home, police reported.

According to the NYPD, Judith Byron was crossing Seventh Avenue at 41st Street in a marked crosswalk around 9:35 p.m. when an SUV collided with her. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead.

The driver fled the scene, and no arrests have been made at this time, authorities said.

Police are investigating the incident.
