A historic Siyum Hashas held this Motzei Shabbos in Boro Park

A historic Siyum Hashas was held this Motzei Shabbos in Boro Park. The Shul Beis Asher D'Yormot is a well-known Shul for many decades to those living in the neighborhood of 10th Avenue and 51st Street. It is also convenient for people who need to spend time with family members in Maimonides Hospital and Boro Park Center just one block away, at 5019 10th Avenue.

The Shul was established by the Yormot'a Rav, Harav Yakov Zvi Haleivi Youngreisz Z"L, after the war in Crown Heights. It then moved to Boro Park over fifty years ago. Now it's under the leadership of Rav Yoel Czin Shlita, the Rav's Grandson.

The daily Shiur first started over 45 years ago. The Baal Habatim of the time sat by this Shiur with mesiras nefesh learning daf after daf, day after day, before a hard day of work. They were Zoiche to finish Shas many times with their Magid Shiur Rav Aron H'Cohen Brander Z"L who delivered the shiur for over twenty years.

Now, many years after his petira, the daily Shiur in Yormot Shul is still being given every morning. In the pre-hours of dawn, when Boro Park is just starting to wake up, the Magid Shiur Harav Yakov Shia Brander Shlita is already giving his Geshmake Shiur. He gives his Shiur from 5:30 in the morning until Shachris at 6:15 on weekdays, and seven o'clock on Sundays. The shiur is joined by a group of Baal Habatim who want to start their day with a blat Gemara like it was seen by Yidin from the previous generation.

The Siyum was a family simcha celebrated by those that finished Shas accompanied by their families, friends, and members of the Shul.
