BDE: Mrs. Leah Beila Rosenberg, a”h
We are saddened to inform you of the petirah of Mrs. Rosenberg a native of Yerushalayim, a longtime resident of Boro Park who always treasured her roots in Eretz Yisroel. She was 77 years of age.
She was born in Yerushalayim to her father, Reb Aaron Yehuda Gerwirtz who was in a legend in the “Ungarishe Heizer” neighborhood.
She got married in America to Reb Eliezer Rosenberg, who was a famous shadchan, making hundreds of shidduchim over the decades. He sadly was niftar at an untimely age of 52, leaving his almanah to raise their children, and to serve as the devoted matriarch that she was for close to thirty years.
She is remembered fondly by so many for her giving nature, and for her extreme devotion to her family, and her involvement in every aspect of their lives.
She leaves behind a beautiful Torah family who reside in Boro Park and elsewhere.
The levaya will take place at 6:00 at Shomrei Hadas and will proceed from there to her native Eretz Yisroel, where she will be interred on Har hazeisim, near generations of her family.
