BDE: Mrs. Rochel Zitronenbaum, a”h.

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Rochel Zitronenbaum of the Bobover chassidus. She was an untimely 70 years of age, and was nifteres in a sudden manner, plunging her family and many acquaintances into deep sadness.

She was the daughter of Reb Shia Volf and Shprintza Safern. Reb Shia Volf (whose yorhtzeit falls tonight) was a legend in Bobov, the gabbai and ‘kvittel shreiber’ by the Bobover Ruv, zt”l. Having grown up in a home steeped in chassidus and yiras Shomayim, she married, ybl”ch, Reb Shmerel Zitronenbaum, a legend in the world of Torah manuscripts and world-renowned expert in this area.

“She was the most loving and doting mother and grandmother,” recalls a nephew, “and did everything to support her husband in his learning and in his passion for seforim and manuscripts—helping to perpetuate these holy texts for future generations.”

Mrs. Zitronenbaum’s passing leaves her family bereft, and the numerous people who knew and loved her in deep sadness.

The levaya will take place at the Bobover Beis Medrash at 8:30 this evening.
