BDE: Reb Shmuel Binyomin Herzog, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Shmuel Binyomin Herzog, a pillar of the Debrecener Kehillah. He was 85 years of age. 

The niftar was born and bred in Boro Park, and lived here his entire life. His parents hailed from Vienna, and were fortunate to escape in 1939 on the Kinder Transport. When they came to Boro Park, the joined the Debreciner kehillah, and remained part of it for all their lives. 

Reb Shmuel Binyomin learned in the Nitra Yeshiva in Mt. Kisco, and was known for his ehrlichkeit and his honesty in business, and leaves behind generations who follow in his ways. 

The levaya will take place at 10:30 this morning in front of the Debretziner Shul on 16th Avenue. Kevurah will be on the Debreciner chelka in Beth Israel Cemetery.
