Bobov-45 Announces Purchase of former Kings Building Material lot on 15th Avenue, on Behalf of its Mesivta
In news that was greeted with excitement and applause, it was announced last night at the annual dinner for Mosdos Bobov-45 that kehilla leadership has recently closed on a new property that will Bez"h serve as home to the mesivta for many years to come.
The new property is located on 15th Ave., between 37th and 38th Streets, at the lot that formerly served as the home of Kings Building Material. The site that was once a daily nuisance for so many Boro Park residents will now be a home of Torah and avodah, and mold the next generation of Chasidish yungerleit in Boro Park.
Once construction is completed the mesivta will move into this new permanent home.
As BoroPark24 readers know, the massive new beis medrash being erected on 14th Ave. and 49 St. is just part of a bold project that will see the kehilla headquarters include the property currently occupied by the Boro Park Y. The Y and its many operations will be moved to 52nd St. and New Utrecht, where the mesivta building has been located for nearly two decades.
Over the past few years, kehilla leadership has embarked on a ambitious undertaking to secure the future of the chasidus by building the facilities that will serve the Bobov-45 Chasidim and serve Hashem. This is but the latest addition to the remarkable acquisitions spree spanning the breadth and width of Boro Park.
Like the many acquisitions and construction projects before it, this new purchase has been made possible by the Chasidim and supporters of the Rebbe Shlit”a who wish to lend a hand and secure a zechus that will stand the test of time.
