Simchas Beis Vizhnitz: Boro Park to Witness Special Vizhnitz–Rachmastrivka Wedding and Shabbos as Rebbes Gather for Simcha

Boro Park is preparing for a special Shabbos this week, as the two Vizhnitz brothers, the Vizhnitz Rebbes of Kiamesha and Montreal, will both spend Shabbos together in Boro Park for the Shabbos Sheva Brachos of their shared einikel, following the upcoming wedding this Wednesday night.

The chosson is a grandson of the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Montreal, a son of Rav Menachem Shlomo Hager, son of the Rebbe of Montreal and an eidem of the Rachmastrivka Rav of Monsey. The kallah is a daughter of Rav Mordechai Pinchas Twersky, Rosh Yeshivas Esek HaTorah Rachmastrivka, a son of the Rachmastrivka Rebbe and an eidem of the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Kiamesha.

The simcha began this past Shabbos with the aufruf at the Vizhnitz Beis Medrash in Montreal, in the presence of the zeide, the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Montreal.

The wedding will take place Wednesday in Boro Park at the Rachmastrivka Beis Medrash Hagadol, followed by the Shabbos Sheva Brachos in the presence of the kallah’s zeide, the Rachmastrivka Rebbe.

The big Shabbos Sheva Brachos will be celebrated in the presence of the zeides and Rebbes, with the Vizhnitz Rebbes of Kiamesha and Montreal spending Shabbos together with their mechutan/cousin/Shvuger, the Rachmastrivka Rebbe Shlita. The Vizhnitz Rebbes are expected to join the Rachmastrivka Rebbe for the large tish Friday night, as well as Shabbos morning tefillos and the morning seudah at the Rachmastrivka Beis Medrash Hagadol.

The simcha will mark a derhoibene Shabbos with much significance, at the Beis Medrash where the previous Rachmastrivka Rebbe zt”l davened and led his chassidim. The previous Rachmastrivka Rebbe zt”l is a two-time elter-zeide of the kallah, from both her father’s and mother’s sides, as the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Kiamesha is an eidem of the previous Rebbe. He is also an elter-fetter of the chosson, as the chosson’s zeide, the Rachmastrivka Rav of Monsey, is a brother of the previous Rachmastrivka Rebbe zt”l.

On Friday night, both Vizhnitz Rebbes will daven at the Vizhnitz Beis Medrash on New Utrecht Avenue together with their nephew, the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Boro Park, before joining the Rachmastrivka Rebbe for the tish. For Shalosh Seudos, where Vizhnitz has an earlier zman, they will join their brother, the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Yerushalayim, at his Beis Medrash on 42nd Street.
