Boro Park Shmira Joins Search for Missing 79-Year-Old Man

A large search is underway in the Mill Basin area for 79-year-old Valeriy Abramov, who has been missing.

Boro Park Shmira, together with Flatbush, Queens, Staten Island, and Crown Heights Shmira, as long as NYPD, Hatzalah, NYS Park Police, have joined the effort, canvassing local streets, parks, and nearby waters. Volunteers are working with boats and K-9 units in the ongoing search. 

Abramov, who answers to Valeriy, was last seen Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. near Ardsley Loop and Vandalia Avenue. He was wearing a plaid flannel shirt, light beige pants, and a blue cap. He is described as a white male, 5’6” tall, 175 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes.

Authorities and community organizations urge anyone with information to come forward immediately.

The name for Tehilem is אברהם בן חוסני.
