The Skver Rebbe Shlit”a was in Boro Park this past Thursday for a brief visit, where he was menachem avel the Rachmastrivka Rebbe and Rebbetzin. Before returning home, the Rebbe made time to stop at the Bais Tziporah Skvere Girls School to see firsthand the progress of its major expansion project.
The school is currently undergoing a significant expansion project, which will increase its space from 20,000 square feet to over 65,000 square feet! This will allow them to consolidate the school, which is currently renting space in multiple locations.
The Rebbe Shlit"a viewed the building and reviewed the project's details with the askonim involved, adding his own insights. The Rebbe Shlit"a reiterated the importance of having a spacious building for the students to reinforce the appropriate chinuch that the school provides. He further mentioned that in today's world, the chinuch of girls is no less important than that of boys, as mothers who are home are often the primary influence on their children's chinuch.
The Rebbe Shlit'a concluded by offering words of chizuk and brochah to the askonim, and by making a substantial contribution to the building campaign.
The project, which started just two years ago, will finish the first phase after Yom Tov. This will enable elementary students to transition to the new third and fourth floors. The coming year will see the high school move into the fifth and sixth floors, which have now begun construction. The preschool will be relocating to the renovated second floor during the coming year. The first floor will feature school facilities and a brand-new street-level simcha hall.
