Brazen Street Robbery: Suspect Jumps in Front of Bucher on Scooter, Steals It and Flees

Following an earlier robbery in which money was stolen from a child outside 1534 42nd Street - later determined to be play money - the suspect allegedly struck again just two hours later in the same area with a similarly brazen theft.

A bucher riding a scooter along 15th Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Streets was targeted from behind when the suspect allegedly followed him unnoticed, then jumped in front of him, shoved him off the scooter, and grabbed it before fleeing the scene.

Although the scooter was later recovered nearby, the suspect remains at large. The back-to-back incidents, thefts targeting children and teenagers, have left residents shaken and raising concerns about the brazen nature of the crimes.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD or Shmira, who are searching for the suspect.
