By: Yehuda Alter
Sunday morning, beginning at 7:00, the Brooklyn Marathoners and Half-Marathoners will race through the borough, bringing street closures and parking bans along the newly-approved route.
The marathon begins around 7:00 in Williamsburg’s McCaren Park, proceeding along the waterfront.
Taking Kent, Flushing, and Cadman Plaza Avenues through the Navy Yard area, the runners will then take Flatbush Avenue to the Prospect Park area.
After a loop there, they will proceed alongside the park, onto Ocean Parkway, which will be closed from the Prospect Expressway until Avenue P.
The runners will turn around at Avenue P, and conclude the race in Prospect Park.
