Captured Moment: The New Lots Shul
YS GOLD
This week’s captured moment takes us to a building on 16th Avenue—opposite a location that we have recently profiled here—where a shul has existed for more than half a century. It was a transplant from the New Lots section of Brooklyn, and thus was given this name.
Today, it continues to serve as one of the last remaining Ashkenaz minyanim in Boro Park, and stands alongside a famous Boro Park shul.
Can any of our readers pinpoint this location?
____
Answer to last week’s captured moment:
As many of our readers have correctly identified, the shtiebel on 50th Street is Beis Yosef Dombrowo which continues to function as a beacon of Torah and tefillah under the leadership of the current Dombrover Rebbe, shlit”a.
