Esteemed Dayan Takes Helm of Avreichei Torah Vodaas, Succeeding Illustrious Father

Minyan Avreichei Torah Vodaath, located above Rav Klein’s Zichron Kedoshim Shul on 16th Avenue, is comprised of a collection of balabatim, originally talmidim of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas who sought to cling to their yeshiva days even as they went on to success in the business world. 

For decades, they were led by Rav Mottel Katz, zt”l—a ga’on and talmid chochom who left this world in recent months. Rav Mottel hailed from generations of Rabbonim and Admorim, and continued this illustrious legacy in his avodas hakodesh. 

This week, his son, ybl”ch, Rav Yitzchok Katz, was named as his successor as the rov of Avreichei Torah Vodaas. He is likewise known as a talmid chochom and an accomplished dayan, and he will continue the golden chain of his illustrious forbears.
