False Alarm Prompts Massive NYPD Response at Public School on 9th Avenue

This afternoon, Public School 220, located at 4812 9th Avenue in Boro Park, was the scene of a large-scale police response after a student called in a threatening message during school hours.
The student claimed to be in the bathroom with a gun, threatening the safety of others in the building.
The NYPD quickly mobilized, sending numerous officers to the school, while students and staff were placed on high alert. The building was thoroughly searched, and authorities worked swiftly to assess the situation.
After a comprehensive investigation, it was confirmed that the threat was a false alarm, and no harmful individual or weapon was found on the premises. Once the building was cleared, students and staff were able to resume classes, returning to normal activities.
