Gas Line Struck During Park Construction

Earlier today, a gas main was accidentally struck during construction work at the park at Bay Ridge Parkway and Fort Hamilton Parkway. 

The FDNY responded quickly to the scene. Although there was no reported danger to the public, firefighters remained on site until emergency crews from National Grid arrived to handle the damaged gas line.

The situation has since been stabilized.
