Illegal Smoke Shop In Boro Park Gets Shut Down
By Idy Perl
Numerous illegal smoke shops have been getting shut down by the NYPD across New York City ever since Mayor Adams launched “Operation Padlock to Protect.”
His initiative promises to close any and all illegal smoke shops throughout the city, and indeed during the first week of the operation back in May, over 75 illegal shops were closed.
The initiative hit Boro Park on Friday when the sheriff’s office closed down an illegal smoke shop on 20th Ave and 62nd Street. Officers were seen padlocking the door of the D. Novelty smoke shop and putting up a sign that the shop was closed by the Sherrif's Office.
