YS GOLD

A great pall of sadness descended this morninng upon the Viznitz and Rachmastrivka communities, among the larger chassidic world, with the bitter news of the passing of Rebbetzin Feiga Shifra Hager of Viznitz-Kiamesha, the daughter of the late Rachmastrivka Rebbe, zt"l. She was only seventy years old, and has been unwell for some months.

The Rebbetzin was born in the town of New Square, where her illustrious father, the Rachmastrivka Rebbe, was then residing. She was raised in the vicinity of her illustrious grandfather, the previous Skverer Rebbe, and absorbed the purity and the holiness from a young age.

She married the current Rebbe of Viznitz-Kiamesha, the third son of the Toras Mordechai of Viznitz-Monsey. Together with the Rebbe, ybl"ch, she raised beautiful generations, and was a true eizer k'negdo for her husband in all of his avodas hakodesh. The Rebbetzin was a true matriarch, not only for her family, but also for all the chassidim in the upstate New York hamlet.

The Rebbetzin's passing has thrust into mourning her children, as well as her brothers, the Admorim of Rachmastrivka (including Rachmastrivka Rebbe of Oak and Vine, Lakewood, who is scheduled to marry of a child in New Square this evening).

The Rebbetzin will long be remembered as a maternal figure who helped build the thriving chassidic shtetl in Kiamesha with great mesirus nefesh, as well as an incredible personality who personified so many sterling qualities.

The levaye will leave from the home of the nifteres in the Viznitz Shtetl, Gibbers, at 10:30, and continue to Monsey for the levaye and kevurah.

Updates will follow.
