Mugging, Armed Robbery Took Place Early This Morning in Boro Park

By Yehudit Garmaise

The NYPD is investigating two incidents that took place early Friday morning between 3:20 and 3:35am, one man was mugged and another person was attacked by an armed perpetrator in Boro Park.

At 3:20am, a 30-year-old man was walking down 48th Street, when, in front of 827 48th St.,  three perpetrators, who did not have any weapons, punched him several times, pushed him to the floor, and stole approximately $100 in cash from his pockets.

Fifteen minutes later, a 42-year-old man was sitting in his car in front of 903 52nd St., when a man appeared, displayed a gun, and told the victim to get out of his car. After getting out of his car and standing up, a perpetrator held the firearm to the side of the victim’s head, while a second thief proceeded to steal from the victim’s car: an iPhone, a necklace, and approximately $900 in cash.

The suspect then rifled through the victim’s pockets to steal his car keys, which the victim refused to give over, at which point the two suspects fled the scene, and were gone by the time the police arrived.

The 42-year-old man refused medical attention at the scene of the crime. Both crimes are still under investigation.
