The NYPD is investigating another armed robbery in Boro Park: this one took place this morning at 5:50am, when two perpetrators exited a dark-colored Jeep in front of 975 57th St.
A 41-year-old man was walking down 57th Street in the rain and carrying an umbrella when two perpetrators ran toward him. One perpetrator held a gun to the victim’s head, while the second perpetrator kicked away the victim’s umbrella, which he had dropped, while he went through his pockets to give the thieves the two iPhones and $200 he had on him.
Both perpetrators, who were between 20 and 25 years old, were described as African-American, 20-years-old, 5’10, and 130 pounds. Both perpetrators were wearing dark-colored sweatshirts and sweatpants, but one perpetrator wore gray sneakers, and the other wore white sneakers.
The victim was not injured, and the two perpetrators, who are at large, fled the scene of the crime in their black Jeep.
