Multiple Store Closures on 13th Avenue

In recent months, BoroPark24 reported the opening of multiple new stores to serve our residents. However, we now have a less fortunate update.

Three stores on 13th Avenue have closed their doors over recent weeks due to financial hardships and high rent costs on the shopping avenue.

The well-known 13th Ave Pharmacy, which served numerous residents with their medical and pharmacy needs and was especially known for its late-night hours, has closed. Google already has the "Permanently closed" label on its store.

Pompano, a shoe store located at 44th Street, a relatively young store that had been in business for just two years, shut its doors last week, leaving its customers to lace up and seek footwear at other shoe stores.

Lastly, the famous Silksation at 46th Street, renowned for women's clothing, has announced a significant clearance sale as part of its closing season. "For Rent" signs have already appeared on the property, and their 80% off sale ad also mentions the sale of store fixtures, showcases, racks, and more.
