New York City is gearing up for a historic celebration as the world’s tall ships set sail for the harbor on the Fourth of July, 2026. Part of the country’s 250th anniversary, this will feature an international parade of ships, drawing millions to the waterfront.
The celebration will include the largest fleet of tall ships and naval vessels to visit the city in decades. The ships will sail past the Statue of Liberty in a presidential review, while the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels perform overhead.
Some of the vessels will dock at the Intrepid Museum, while others will be stationed around the harbor. All will be open to the public at no cost. City officials say the celebration, which also includes a massive Fourth of July fireworks display, is expected to bring in over $1 billion in tourism revenue.
Preparations for America’s unforgettable 250th birthday are already in motion.
