Sefer Torah to be Dedicated in Memory of Legendary Mashpiah

This Sunday, members of Beis Menachem-Lubavitch of Boro Park will welcome a new sefer Torah written in the memory of the legendary Rav Yoel Kahan, zt"l, a gaon and talmid chacham who dedicated his life to disseminating chassidus, especially in the Boro Park community through his thousands of shiurim.

The primary "chozer" the reviewer of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's Torah over his forty years of leadership, it is no secret that Rav Yoel had a major hand in perpetuating the Torah of his Rebbe for eternity. This sefer Torah is thus a fitting tribute to a man who devoted his life to Torah and sharing it with others.

The Torah procession will begin Sunday, departing from 1669 47th St at 5:00 PM, making its way to Bais Menachem on 16th Ave and 48th Street.
