Tens of Millions Americans to hit Roads and Airways this Weekend

July Fourth weekend is traditionally one of the busiest travel times of the year—by road and by air. AAA estimates that 48 million Americans will travel 50 + miles from home this weekend, and this does not count the tens of millions more who are making their way to neighboring cities and states.
In addition, although the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) estimates that complaints against airlines have risen over 300% since before the pandemic, scores will still be descending on the nation’s airports.
It also expects 42 million Americans to be driving this weekend, a .4% increase from last year—despite the skyrocketing gas prices.
With road travel expected to soar, the AAA advises travelers to plan for lots of traffic when making their travel plans.
