Truck Driver Robbed at Gunpoint; Suspects Snatch $10K Necklace

A dramatic armed robbery in Boro Park is under investigation after two men posing as law-enforcement officers targeted a truck driver Tuesday night.

The incident took place near 12th Avenue and 36th Street, when the suspects, armed with a gun and flashing a fake badge, approached the driver just as he was getting back into his truck. According to reports, the pair had been following the victim for some time before making their move.

The robbers forcibly removed a necklace valued at around $10,000 and fled the scene.

NYPD detectives, along with Shomrim surveillance teams and investigators, are actively investigating the incident and reviewing area cameras to track the suspects’ movements before and after the robbery.
