If you open your eyes, you see the beauty of Hashem.”013/8/21, 5:07 AM83615President Biden and Senate Democrats Plan to Provide Fewer Relief Checkspresident-biden-and-senate-democrats-plan-to-provide-fewer-relief-checks     By lowering Americans’ income eligibility from $100,000 to $80,000 a year, moderate senators and President Joe Biden struck a deal to provide fewer $1,400 checks to Americans.     Although the House of Representatives’ COVID-19 relief bill had promised hefty checks to Americans who report yearly earnings that are less than $100,000, Senate Democrats just lowered that income threshold to $80,000, NBC News reported.     While Americans who report incomes of $75,000 will receive their full federal stimulus payments, Americans who earn between $75,000 and $80,000 will receive smaller amounts.     Couples who earn combined incomes of up to $150,000 and who file their taxes jointly, will still receive $1,400. (Official White House Photo by Carlos Fyfe) 012/22/21, 9:38 AM83334President Biden Requires International Travelers to the U.S. To Test COVID-Negativepresident-biden-requires-international-travelers-to-the-u-s-to-test-covid-negative  Starting tomorrow, international travelers to the United States now have to provide proof of negative COVID tests three days prior to travel, said Jen Psaki, the White House's press secretary, who added that President Joe Biden is following the guidelines of both his COVID-advisory team and recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).      Although the new international travel restrictions can help to slow the spread of COVID-19, some experts say that the president’s strategy is not fool-proof.     “This new requirement actually does have some flaws,” said Eyal Oren, Ph.D., an epidemiologist and the Interim Director for the School of Public Health at San Diego State University. “For one, if you test negative you could still, from the time you test [until the time you travel], still acquire the virus, so it’s very important even in that time window to quarantine yourself.”   Dr. Oren also worries that people might feel a false sense of security that they are COVID negative if they take the rapid antigen tests, which are 20% less effective than the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) lab tests, which take two or three days to provide results.    “You can get some false assurance thinking your negative when in fact you’d test positive with the PCR test that would pick up a lower viral load,” said Dr. Oren, who added that other countries that have been requiring travelers to provide negative test results before entry has been successful in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in their countries.    “Testing people three days out via the PCR testing, but not the less effective rapid testing, is approximately 75% effective in keeping infected people off planes in the first place,” said Oren.    In light of the continued emergence of more virulent COVID strains, President Biden, who just added South Africa to a restricted travel list, is also expected to reinstate previous U.S. travel restrictions that would affect non-American citizens traveling from the United Kingdom, Ireland, and much of Europe. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) was the only Republican who voted to impeach, however, today, 10 Republicans have joined 232 Democrats in their vote to impeach President Donald Trump, who is now the only commander-in-chief in history to be impeached twice.   Previous to President Trump, the only U.S. presidents to be impeached were Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. As only five Democrats voted to impeach President Bill Clinton in 1998, today’s vote is being called the most “bipartisan impeachment ever,” after so many Republicans have rejected Trump.   The articles of impeachment today accuse President of “inciting violence against the government of the United States,” during last Wednesday’s rally on the Ellipse in Washington, DC, which was followed minutes later by a mob of his supporters storming the Capitol to protest the Electoral College victory of Joe Biden.     With the help of support of the 10 Republicans, the articles of impeachment are expected to easily pass the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives.   The potential Senate trial would not be held until after President-elect Joe Biden is sworn in on Jan. 20, a spokesman for Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) tweeted earlier Wednesday.   After Vice President Mike Pence refused to invoke the 25th Amendment and ask Trump’s cabinet to vote to remove him from office on grounds of the president being “unable” to do the job, the House moved forward with the impeachment process.   The Senate, which was controlled by Republicans when Trump was impeached last year, voted in February to acquit President Trump, who was then accused of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress over allegations he tried to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to announce investigations that would boost his campaign against Biden.011/13/21, 11:43 AM83235Delayed stimulus checks should arrive by February, tax firms saydelayed-stimulus-checks-should-arrive-by-february-tax-firms-say  By Yehudit Garmaise     Millions of Americans who have not yet received their $600 stimulus checks should receive them by early February, tax preparation firms say.    One delay of the stimulus checks’ delivery was caused when the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) mistakenly sent millions of coronavirus relief payments to closed or inactive bank accounts, which bounced the funds right back to the federal government.  “The IRS regrets the inconvenience and greatly appreciates the assistance of our tax industry partners in helping accelerate a resolution of this issue,” the agency said in a statement.     Tax preparers say they are working with the IRS to get the money into the American’ bank accounts in the coming weeks.    The IRS is working to process the payments again and will re-issue them later this month, it said Monday, noting that tax companies are not in possession of the money. The affected taxpayers will either see the funds deposited directly into their bank accounts or receive paper checks, officials said.    Jackson Hewitt and Republic Bank told customers that their “economic impact payments” will be processed and deposited by Feb. 1, while the Iowa-based TaxAct said that the checks should arrive in customers’ accounts on that date.    Americans who used other tax firms may already have their checks. Ted Cruz (R), made objections to Biden’s victories in swing states Arizona and Pennsylvania, which the joint-session of Congress promptly dismissed amid an utter lack of evidence of election fraud.    After yesterday’s chaos, Republican Senators who planned to make other objections to Biden’s election, dropped their previous claims.    Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), who is the congressman responsible for funding the Capitol Police was furious at Capitol Police yesterday for their inability to control the mob.    Before the riots, Ryan said he had multiple conversations with police leaders, who assured him that no one would be allowed to get near the Capitol building, much less so easily storm inside and spark carnage, according to the Chronicle-Telegram.    Police should have expected trouble, Rep Ryan said, because President Trump had “signaled this,” by hosting a rally on the Ellipse, where he gave a fiery speech and riled up his supporters to make trouble at the certification of Biden’s clear Electoral College win of 306 to 232.    “There was enough time to prepare,” Rep. Ted Cruz (R), will object to Biden’s victory of 306 electoral college votes to President Trump’s 232 votes.    Sixty-four days have passed since the Nov. 3 election, President Donald Trump has demanded several recounts, and he has brought at least a dozen lawsuits in state and federal courts with roughly a dozen new lawsuits to attempt to stop the vote-counting process or to disqualify ballots.   Although since Nov. 3, President Trump has claimed that widespread voting fraud took place, the president, his lawyers, most state and local officials, international observers, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have not been able to produce any evidence of voter fraud.   The U.S. courts have rejected President Trump’s allegations, and the president has refused to concede to Biden.    Not only has President Trump refused to concede, he seems to be still campaigning for president, although the Biden’s presidential inauguration is set to take place on Jan. 20.   Last night on Twitter, the president announced that he will be speaking at a “SAVE AMERICA RALLY” at 11am on the Ellipse in Washington, DC.
