Kossover Chassidim to Gather in Newark to Support Ongoing Building Effort

As we have reported here, the construction of a center for Torah and tefillah for the Kossover chassidus is in full swing, thanks to the efforts of askonim who have thrown themselves into the project. 

But there is only so much that a handful of askonim can do on their own, and this evening, Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Adar, will see a gathering of the entire chassidus and supporters of the Rebbe, shlit”a, at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark in order to gather support from the entire community for the completion of the project. 

The Kossover Rebbe, who is in need of a refuah sheleimah, made the following announcement on Shabbos on the importance of attending the event: “Everyone is aware of the developments with the new beis medrash. Unfortunately, in my situation, there is not much that I can do. But the askonim are working morning and night these days… in light of this, we will gather this week, and every individual’s attendance is important. 

“Even those who have shiurei Torah or other obligations during this time… Chazal tell us that sometimes, bittul Torah leads to stronger fulfillment of Torah—because we will have a proper place for  Torah, tefillah, and kvod Shomayim… we are counting on everyone.”
