Mayor Eric Adams Pays a Visit To Boro Park Amid Yom Tov Atmosphere
By BoroPark24 Staff
Mayor Eric Adams spent the day in Boro Park ahead of the month of Tishrei, meeting residents and engaging with the community during this special time.
His visit began at the newly completed Bobov-45 shul, where he was warmly greeted and thanked by the Bobov-45 Rebbe before touring the magnificent new Kehila Center. Following their meeting, the mayor sat down with multiple Boro Park administrators and community leaders for a closed meeting where they discussed community issues.
Adams then made several stops at neighborhood staples, including Weiss Bakery, Eichler’s, and Oh Nuts, where he took in the festive pre–Yom Tov atmosphere. He met with store owners, workers, and shoppers, greeting them as they stocked up on Yom Tov essentials. A particularly memorable moment came when Moshe Davis, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism, blew the shofar inside Eichler’s in honor of the upcoming holiday.
Out on the streets, accoomidated by Shomrim, he spotted the newly inaugurated Misaskim van, spoke with its representatives, and learned more about its vital mission. Along the way, Adams met residents, shook hands, and exchanged warm words. Many stopped to thank him for his visit, and he in turn wished the community a happy and sweet new year.
