Tractor Trailer Collision Results in Scrap Metal Spill All Over BQE Closing Multiple Lanes

NJC Scrap Metal, a recycling tractor truck, flipped over onto the divider on the BQE near Tilary Street, spilling scrap metal across the BQE and closing multiple lanes early this morning.

The flipped truck was a result of two tractor-trailers colliding at 4:50 this morning. One vehicle struck an overhead roadway sign, while other vehicles were hit by debris.

Four people sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

One lane in each direction is open to slow-moving traffic.
