Will This Be the Driest Month in NYC's History?

Thank goodness we just said Tefillas Geshem because New York sure can use some rain.
NYC and the neighboring areas haven’t gotten rain in over 25 days and is getting close to the record for the longest time NYC went without rain, which is currently 36 days. If we don’t get rain for the rest of the month it will be the driest month in NYC’s history.
Officials in New Jersey and New York are putting the area on a draught watch and are warning that wildfires can start and spread quickly the longer we go without rain.
