A momentary panic was brought to grateful relief, and immense heartache spared, due to the fast work of Shomrim last night.
It began early this evening when a jewelry dealer was showing an expensive peace to a client in the 52nd Street area.
As he closed the box, a suspect appeared seemingly out of nowhere, snatched the box from the hands of the dealer, and took off running.
Shomrim was immediately alerted, and it was not long before the robber was located around the corner from the site of the robbery.
The jewelry was fortunately recovered, and the suspect transferred to NYPD custody—concluding a saga that thankfully short-lived, with a happy conclusion.
