Break-in at Boro Park Home While Homeowners Fast Asleep, Shomrim on Trail of Suspect

A burglar broke into a home in the vicinity of 18th Avenue and 49th street. 

At about 4:15 am, the suspect—clad in a black hoodie—was seen heading toward the home and entering it by breaking a window. 

He made off with a pocketbook and some other valuables before he could be apprehended. Shomrim arrived at the scene a short time later and launched a search in the area, locating the pocketbook nearby, emptied of its contents. 

The NYPD is investigating the incident.
