CDC Warns About Elevated Levels of Respiratory Illnesses in Fifteen States
BoroPark24 Staff
The CDC is warning about elevated levels of respiratory illness in fifteen states, including New York City.
Illnesses that fall into this category are those that bring people to the doctor with symptoms of any respiratory disease, which includes flu, COVID, RSV, and even the common cold.
While COVID-19 and flu hospitalizations are trending upward, as one would expect in the winter, RSV hospitalizations are stable.
Despite the overall trending upwards of respiratory illnesses in general, reports of COVID remain lower than rates seen last year at the same time of year.
