FDNY Commissioner Steps Down

Yesterday was FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh’s last day in office, following her announcement a few weeks ago that she’ll be stepping down from her position, as reported by BoroPark24. 

As she left office, Kavanagh left something behind for her successor; a poster honoring the 343 firefighters who died on 9/11. The poster is a stark reminder about the firefighters under their leadership, and the life-threatening sacrifices they make every day on the job.
