BDE: Mrs. Chaya Brieger, a”h

We regret to inform you of the petirah of Mrs. Chaya Brieger, a longtime Boro Park resident and Holocaust survivor. She was 94 years of age. 

The nifteres was the daughter of Reb Yosef Mermelstein, and hailed from Romania. Her husband was Reb Yaakov Yitzchok Brieger, a prominent, longtime member of the Sfardishe Shul in Boro Park. Together they established beautiful Torah generations, with numerous chassidim and bnei Torah among them. 

The nifteres leaves behind two sons in Boro Park, and a daughter in Lakewood, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who follow in her ways.
