BDE: R’ Moshe Fischman, z”l

We regret to inform you of the petirah of Reb Moshe Pesachia Fischman, z”l, a longtime Boro Park resident, and the well-known owner of Fischman’s grocery on 16th Avenue. 

He was 73 years of age and had been unwell in recent years. 

Reb Moshe was a Bobover Chossid from home, learned in the Bobover yeshivos throughout, and davened in Bobov for many years, as well as in the Rudniker Beis Medrash near his home. 

Shoppers who frequented the grocery recall an ehrlicher Yid behind the counter who always had a good word for everyone.

“I had seen people trying his patience, but he always replied with a smile,” recalled one resident of the area. 

The niftar established a beautiful Torah family who continue in his ways. 

The levaya will take place at the Rudniker Beis Medrash, where the niftar was a regular mispalel, at 12:30 this afternoon.
