Boro Park - We are saddened to inform of the petira of Reb Chaim Moshe Stauber z"l, an effective communicator for the Satmar kehilla in Boro Park and Williamsburg for decades, who was niftar Monday from the coronavirus. He was 76.
Reb Chaim Moshe was a son of Rav Yechezkel Stauber, who served as a longtime shochet and mohel in Antwerp.
The niftar was a frequent orator at Satmar events, and once worked at Der Yid, a Satmar publication. He was a go-to contact for politicians who wanted to convey messages to the kehilla.
He was a talmid chacham and a popular badchan at chasunas.
